Mathilde Ravn can be described as the quintessential “spend the day with me” Instagram girl. In a landscape defined by constant overstimulation, her content feels refreshingly calm and relatable, offering her take on a slow living lifestyle. From a quiet walk to the local coffee shop to moments spent journaling, she shares her everyday routines and cosy little moments of her life in Copenhagen. Warm, personable, and quietly likable, Mathilde developed an interest in building a social media presence at a young age, an instinct that has since helped her cultivate a loyal and engaged audience. Her appeal lies in ease and approachability, offering moments that feel gentle rather than demanding.

For those who don't know you, how would you like to introduce yourself?
I’m Mathilde Ravn, a content creator and influencer. I’m a calm, home-loving person, but I also adore Copenhagen’s cafés and vibrant city life. People often call me a true Copenhagen girl - and I think that really sums me up.
What’s your process of creating a home? Are there any essentials that make you feel at home, or how do you create this feeling? How would you describe this feeling of home?
For me, the feeling of “home” is definitely about being in a calm and peaceful environment. Creating a home has mostly been about building a simple, serene base with little touches of coziness. I also think it’s about having a safe space - and that’s something I’ve really focused on when shaping my home.
You have grown an impressive following on social media. Could you tell us the story of how it all started and when/how it really took off?
I actually started posting photos back when Instagram first launched. I was in eighth grade, and the photos were very different back then - mostly simple pictures taken in the app and shared online. I’ve always been interested in it, though, and when I got to high school, I began posting more fashion and café content from Copenhagen.
My growth really took off during my gap year, traveling in the US and New Zealand, where I shared a lot of travel content, which at the time was just a hobby. A few years later, while studying, I continued creating content, and after finishing my studies, I went full-time on my social media platforms. That’s when things really started to take off, especially with the introduction of Instagram Reels, which I quickly embraced.
Where do you find your creative spark? Are there people, places, or moments that really influence your work?
I’m mostly inspired by a mood or a feeling. It could be something I notice in cafés, in the city, or in the people I meet along the way. It’s really the atmosphere I aim to capture in my content that sparks inspiration. For example, when I’m taking a breakfast photo, I focus more on conveying the mood I want in the image rather than just the individual elements.

We know you as quite the autumn girlie on Instagram - you have such a beautiful way of capturing that cozy autumn feeling. The autumn and especially winter months in Denmark can be dark, cold, and feel never-ending. How do you find light, warmth and inspiration during these months despite that?
I think this is something that has come to me as I’ve gotten older. When I was younger, I was definitely a summer girly and could even feel a bit down during the winter. But over the years, I’ve realized that I actually love the darker, colder months - when the focus shifts to bringing coziness indoors.
In Denmark, when the darker months arrive, it feels like people naturally slow down, and I really enjoy that atmosphere. I think I’ve learned to romanticize the small things and appreciate simple pleasures, like lighting candles and creating cozy moments indoors.
What are you working on right now that you’re most excited about?
I can’t reveal too much just yet, but there are some exciting plans in the works for the middle of next year. It’s always been a dream of mine to take my business to the next level, and this upcoming project is a step in that direction.
Looking ahead, what’s the dream - whether it’s something huge or just a small personal goal?
Professionally, my dream is to keep growing and evolving. I’m not someone who settles once I’ve reached a milestone - as soon as I achieve one goal, I’m already setting a new one. So for me, it’s about continuing to expand my brand and create something larger than just myself.
On a personal note, I really value staying grounded and present. In a world where so much of our time is spent online and on social media, it’s easy to lose sight of real life. For me, having a calm foundation and finding joy in what I do every day is what truly matters.
