Julian and Marian have taken Instagram by storm with their DIY projects. Known for their incredible creativity and eye for interior design, this dynamic twin duo gained a reputation for transforming spaces with their hands-on approach. After leaving their full-time jobs, they've (while creating content for ebay) fully committed to building their brand and have big dreams of expanding their reach. Their ambitions include not only renovating for others but also launching their own TV show. While the process of recording every step of their projects takes time, they see it as part of their creative journey. And yes, as with any team, discussions about how to execute their visions sometimes take a little extra time. But that’s all part of the charm that makes their work and their bond so captivating!
For those who don't know you, would you like to introduce yourselves - tell us about the brand @julianundmarian, and the persons Julian and Marian!
We are Julian and Marian, we are twins and we live together in Berlin. We moved into a completely neglected apartment together 3 years ago and started renovating everything ourselves. We posted videos of the renovation process on instagram and two of the first videos went viral. Within a month we had 100.000 followers. Now we keep sharing our ideas, DIYs and the ongoing renovation process and are really happy to have such a great and supportive community following us.
Which environment did you grow up in and how has it shaped you guys, your vision and your goals today?
We grew up in a cute little house with a garden in the West of Germany. Our parents always let us do everything we wanted around the house. So from the age of 10 we were constantly redecorating the house, rearranging furniture, painting walls and just creating a beautiful home. We always watched HGTV and it was always our dream to one day have a tv show like that and redesign spaces.
How would you say you have created a home together where both of you feel at home? What atmosphere and decor did you want to create in your home?
We share a very similar taste esthetically so we kinda always knew what mood our home should have and what it should feel like spending time here. We both wanted a space that would calm and ground us. We sometimes call it Zen-Space.
How do you balance life as siblings, roommates, and business partners?
We are very similar in the way we think and communicate. That makes it easy to handle situations in which we might not have the same opinion about something.
