Director, photographer, and fashion designer, Hashim Musa works across a full creative spectrum! Inspired by collaboration and connection - from close friends to passing encounters - he brings an open, optimistic energy to his work alongside a drive to explore new ideas and bring them to life. Influenced by his Middle Eastern roots and life in Denmark, his keen sense of atmosphere blends clean simplicity with layered, special objects collected through travel and family heirlooms, each carrying its own story.

For those who don't know you, how would you like to introduce yourself?
I’m a positive, and passionate person who’s really driven by creativity. I consider myself a creative artist because I work across a lot of different creative areas - everything from visual arts and photography to music and fashion. I really enjoy exploring new ideas and finding ways to bring them to life.
How does your background or heritage come through in your home? What kind of feeling were you hoping to create in your space?
My heritage definitely influences my home. I draw a lot of inspiration from the Middle Eastern culture I grew up with, even though I was raised in Denmark. I like to incorporate those elements in a subtle way, blending them with a modern, minimalist style. I enjoy creating a space that feels clean and simple, but with personal touches - like small items on shelves or souvenirs I have collected from my travels, whether from Japan, Mexico, or elsewhere.
What has the journey been like making your apartment feel like home? Are there any must-haves that instantly make it feel like you?
For me, scent is a key part of feeling at home. I think many people can relate to the comfort of your own home smelling a certain way - coming back and immediately feeling that sense of familiarity. I really enjoy having my space smell nice and reflect my own scent, which is why I use scented sticks or candles. Lighting is also important to me, and I love experimenting with different lamps and candles. Together, they create a sense of calm and can even take me back to another time.

You always seem to have a lot on your plate - what keeps you inspired and driven?
I believe the world needs more love and kindness, and I want to be part of that. I hope to inspire and motivate others to follow their passions and take the leap - whether that’s starting their own project or pursuing something they care about. For me, it’s about encouraging people to be brave and make a positive impact in the world.
Where do you find your creative energy? Are there people, places, or moments that really influence your work?
I’m inspired by many people, both those I don’t know personally and those around me. I’m fortunate to be surrounded by talented and creative people, and we really motivate and support each other. That energy and sense of flow is something I deeply value - it pushes me to stay creative and keep moving forward.

So, we heard you are launching DELLO MUSA - can you share a bit more about it and the story behind it?
That is correct, and I can share a bit already! It is a clothing brand and a dream I have had for many years. I wasn’t sure how to start or what it would take, and I always thought it would be very expensive - especially if you launch a full collection. So instead, I’m doing piece-by-piece drops, and without giving too much away, there’s more to come. The first drop is a pair of red sweatpants, designed based on my own needs. I’d trouble finding pants in the colours I wanted, and it was important that each piece is something I can truly see myself wearing.
Looking ahead, what’s the dream - whether it’s something huge or just a small personal goal?
Ultimately, it’s about being happy and finding peace within myself and my surroundings. It’s important for me to have the right people around me and to feel authentic in everything I take on. I want to wake up and go to bed feeling fulfilled, never doing things I don’t truly enjoy. That’s my ultimate goal.

My home must be full of…
love, security, and care, but also fun.
If I had to describe my wardrobe style in three words, it would be…
comfortable, haha! After years of wearing things that didn’t feel right, I’ve fully embraced clothes that are cozy and easy to wear.
My favorite clothing stores in Copenhagen are…
something from my father. Unfortunately, he passed away a few years ago, and I have a lion figure and a small brown cigarette cup from him. Both hold special meaning and remind me of him - these are the kinds of pieces I’ll always keep.
The TWIN sofa represents my style and life choices because…
its shape is clean and simple. It doesn’t try to do too much. It offers plenty of space and is comfortable, which are both essential factors for me.

Someone who inspires me is…
Bob Marley. The energy he put into everything he did was really inspiring, and even today, when I listen to his music or interviews, I can feel how passionate he was about making the world a better place.
On my wish list right now is…
without saying too much, peace in the world. That’s my ultimate wish.
A country, I’m excited to visit or return to…
is Japan. I went last year, and it was an amazing experience, so I can’t wait to go back.
By the end of 2026, I hope…
that everything I stand for has reached more people and had a broader impact.
It brings me joy to…
spend time with my family and friends.
My favourite place in the apartment is…
the sofa!
If I weren’t doing what I do today, I’d probably be…
gardener - it seems so peaceful.
My best clothing/furniture/art purchase ever is…
a pair of trousers from the brand ‘Issey Miyake’ that I bought in Paris during Fashion Week. They’re a unique piece, and I always get compliments when I wear them. They’re still one of my favourite items in my closet.

On Saturdays, you’ll find me at…
Pool in ‘Boltens Gård,’ and afterward I usually head to Bodega Danza in ‘Kødbyen’.
When in Copenhagen…
a visit to the lakes is a must.
For the best matcha…
Sing Tehus on Værnedamsvej is the place to go.
Catching up with friends usually happens at…
Hanging out with friends usually means having a lot of fun, whether we’re somewhere in the city or at home - it depends on the season and the weather.
Three favorite Copenhagen spots…
the lakes, Værnedamsvej, and my apartment. I really love spending time here.
